TO (1) RELIEVE THE TRAUMA (WHETHER PSYCHOLOGICAL, EMOTIONAL OR PHYSICAL) OF PERSONS/ THEIR FAMILIES WHO HAVE BEEN VICTIMS OF (a) RAPE, OTHER SEXUAL ASSAULT OR ABUSE; or (b) PHYSICAL ASSAULT OR PSYCHOLOGICAL/EMOTIONAL ABUSE OF ANY KIND; AND (2) PROMOTE/ PARTICIPATE IN TRAINING, EDUCATION AND RESEARCH IN RELATION TO COUNSELLING AND THE TRAUMAS SET OUT ABOVE AND THEIR EFFECT UPON WOMEN/MEN/CHILDREN.
