PURCHASE WAS COMPLETED ON 15.09.2008 AND WORK HAS BEGUN TO REPAIR THE MONUMENT SO AS TO MAKE IT AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC. THIS HAS BEEN POSSIBLE LARGELY AS A CONSEQUENCE OF GRANTS FROM HERITAGE LOTTERY FUND AND ENGLISH HERITAGE, PLUS SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL. COMPLETION OF WORKS WAS SCHEDULED FOR OCTOBER 2011.
